Sabres Trade Pick's

The Sabres have sent winger A. Kotalik to the Oilers. The Sabres had added center D.Moore from the Maple Leafs. Both A.Kotalik and D.Moore will be unrestricted free agents in July 2009. Moore has more points than Kotalik. Kotalik has 13 goals and 32 points in 63 games; Moore has 12 goals and 41 points 63 games at this time, plus the Sabres strengthen the goaltending depth of the team at a good time, acquiring M. Tellqvist from Coyotes. The M. Tellqvist has played 15 games for the Coyotes. He is 7-5-1 with a 2.86 goals-against average and .907 save percentage. The addition of a goalie was anticipated. Starter goal tender R. Miller is out indefinitely with a sprained ankle [was this a hair raiser] this close to the play-offs for something like this to happen. P. Lalime has performed very well [8 goals against him in 5 games]in Miller's absence, but an injury or illness [he had the flu in the first two games]to P.Lalime would leave the crease to rookie Jhonas Enroth, who has never played an NHL game.
